Its skyline time!
Last night after a fun filled day with each of our families, my BF & I realized we hadn’t eaten dinner. It was about 9:24 and we stopped by Rookwood, but most of the eateries were closed. We were thisclose to admitting defeat and going home hungry, when I suggested Skyline on Madison rd. We popped in and things were pretty quiet, except for one large group at the table next to us.
I ordered a water (since I’d been walking for the last 2 hours w/o any, lol) and Will got a root beer. We ordered 3 ways (spaghetti topped with chili, covered in cheese), his Jumbo, and they served us easily within 5 minutes. It was hot, gooey and delicious. We dug in and must’ve been pretty hungry, because it didn’t take long for both of us to groan about being almost full. My eyes were bigger than my stomach and I couldn’t finish the regular, but Will never backs down from a challenge, polished off the Jumbo. Our quick, fast, easy meal was $13 & we were finished before they closed up the joint at 10, lol!
We both concluded that skyline is 10 times better when you eat in. Since it was so fast, I vow to take the time to sit & eat it at its best from now on, no more styrofoam imprisonment for my 3way! I give skyline a B+ for being good wholesome late-night cheap eats!
