Cincy’s on 6th Food review.

Went to a Cyclones game forever ago, turns out there’s a coupon on the back of the ticket for free wings from a bar downtown.   I wanted to get out of the office for lunch, so I waited for the rush to be over and headed down.  There was plenty of parking and since it was freezing out & people were scarce.  I sat at the bar and showed the bartender the back of my ticket.  He was really helpful when I ordered, suggesting the sauce he liked.  I ordered a salad to go along with it.  There were TVs everywhere with football on and the place was pretty empty except for myself and another girl at the opposite bar who was obviously vying for the bartenders attention.  I can’t blame her, he was really cute, but she was trying to talk sports with him and he was less than interested.  I think she would have been better off just saying, I think you’re hot.  But listening to their convo kept me entertained through lunch, lol!

My food came out really quickly and I squelched my desire to have a beer (it was 2 & I had to go back to work), ordering water.   My salad was topped with a ton of stuff: cucumbers, cheese, onions and croutons, etc.  I wanted to appreciate the excessive toppings, but they kind of got in my way.  I think raw onions are the devil and I wasn’t please to keep trying to avoid them while eating.  The Wings were perfect.  Fried crisp and slathered in excess sauce.  This I appreciated.  It was a rousing mess, but I delighted in not having to keep up appearances while eating.  When it was all said and done, my bill was $3 (for the salad) and I had wings to go.  That’s my kind of lunch, umkay?!  I’m going to a cyclones game this weekend, and I can’t wait to get MORE free wings: food always taste better when its free.
