What Bri's Cooking

I have a lifelong love affair with food. It may very-well be an unhealthy love affair. So?! I eat, ask, wonder, talk, think, sample and read about food, recipes and cooking so much that I figured, why not create a blog?!

Original Pancake House food review.

This isn’t my first time eating here, but I always forget to review it.  My Mom wanted to go somewhere for brunch the day after her birthday, so we headed there after church.  The food is pretty good, and the place is always packed.  I love that its the kind of place where you can sit back, relax, tease the waitress a bit and enjoy your breakfast companions.

I ordered the blueberry pancakes, a side of potatoes & split an omelet with my Dad.  I don’t know what I was thinking, my Dad doesn’t eat pork and I love bacon.  He insisted on a veggie omelet, which if I can be honest, I think is a really ridiculous idea!  Omelets are made for cheese & bacon!  So I wasn’t a fan of that, it just didn’t have the kick I needed (really what can compete with bacon?)  My Mom was nice enough to donate some bacon to me, that bacon was so epic!  I loved the fried potatoes.  They were crunchy in the right way and soft too.  My pancakes were delish, and I snagged some fresh cream from my Brother to top them off.  All and all, it was a for reals family style meal, complete with great conversation, great food & a whole lot of sharing.  You really can’t beat that!
