Seasons 52 food review.
So this restaurant got built really quickly so I was a bit apprehensive. Then one of the lady architects in my group chose this for our monthly dinner. I go for the convo, these women know what I go through as a lady in a man’s world! Krista had been before and loved the food, so that made me feel better. The premise of the restaurant is that ever menu item is under 475 calories. That is unheard of. We joked that we’d have to have two entrées, lol!
They had a pretty impressive wine list, I decided to try a type of white wine I’d never had before: Viognier. I fell in love with it! It was the Casillero del Diablo, Casablanca. Dry and crisp. We ended up talking for forever, starting off with the double hummus appetizer. It was really delish, loved the roasted red pepper hummus the most. Once we finally ordered food, I went with the Grilled lamb T-bone chops. They came highly recommended from Krista’s husband. They looked so amazing and tasted even better. I ordered them medium and I’m glad I did. They were cooked perfectly. Since the chops were so small, if they’d have spent two more seconds on the grill, they would’ve burnt to a crisp. The sparagus was nice and crunch, and the mashed potatoes were fluffy and flavorful. I was skeptical of such a low calorie meal, but it was really delicious!
For desert they bring out their mini dishes and you really just can’t resist them. Great play, putting them right within reach! I went with the key lime pie and it was just to die for. Graham cracker crust and the right amount of sour & sweet. I thought I’d want more, but it was the right note after dinner. Not too much, not too little.
The verdict: great food! They won me over. We had pretty great service, and even though my bill alone was what my boyfriend and I usually spend for both of us, I enjoyed the food enough not to care. That’s the key. Prepare the food as to make me feel like I’ve invested in a world class experience! Well done.
