What Bri's Cooking

I have a lifelong love affair with food. It may very-well be an unhealthy love affair. So?! I eat, ask, wonder, talk, think, sample and read about food, recipes and cooking so much that I figured, why not create a blog?!

Hodak’s food review!

So my friend tells me she’s had the best chicken in St Louis. I take this as an actual challenge. I must try them and make the assesment for myself. In my haste, I didn’t ask her what type of chicken. I called in and ordered the sticky wings, potato skins & toasted ravioli (a STL specialty, so I feel lead to order them everywhere and compare). I was feeling torn, so I ordered all three, made for great leftovers. Apon arriving there, it was a pretty chill space, great for catching up with friends. Made me want to consider staying awhile on my next visit. My food was ready to go and I was on my way. Back home everything was piping hot (a huge plus) and I dug right in. The skins were pretty standard, nice & crispy w/ a healty helping of sour cream. The toasted ravioli was good, but not really unique from the pizza place I normally order them from. I think they have it because STL demands they do. The wings were good, great flavor, cooked through without being crispy. I promptly texted my friend and said they weren’t the best I’d ever tasted…She was really suprised & asked me what kind I got. To which she replies you were supposed to get the fried! I fell out laughing and told her now I need to go back! Sooooo, good food, but I’ll definately be back to order the right chicken since I totally failed at the challenge :-) Hodak's Restaurant and Bar on Urbanspoon
