The Block food review.
So I loath traveling to St Louis for work, but one of the things that is kind of cool is the per diem. I get to try all sorts of awesome food and its free! I googled this place since its close to the hospital and I was so very glad I did. I called in & got my food to go, but the restaurant was pretty awesome. I’ll be sure to stick around next time.
I ordered the House-Made Gnocchi pan seared gnocchi, confit amish chicken, baby spinach parmigiano and Flank Steak horshradish potato gratin, grilled asparagus, wild mushrooms, red wine reduction. A mouthful, huh?
Turns out it was so very amazing!!! I also get to eat in bed when I travel, and this steak was so very rich and the homemade gnocchi was so phenomenal I was pleased out of my mind! I wasn’t able to eat half of what I ordered, but I wanted to try both, and its free, so I don’t feel led to eat myself into oblivion.
I really enjoyed this food and I believe you will too! I can wait to go back to STL, but when I do, I can’t wait to return to this place.
